Teresa Giudice: Breast-feeding made me do it

It’s been a while since “Real Housewife of New Jersey” Teresa Giudice explained why she got her breast implants, but online discussions of it are still going on. Giudice said she was upset about how her breasts changed after she breast-fed her three children, so she took action.  She drew praise from celebrity watchers for being so open about her decision to have plastic surgery.  That’s a characteristic she shares with many stars of reality TV, but not with many stars of mainline films and television. Lohan bashers take aim after Kim’s wedding

The appearance of puffy-lipped Lindsay Lohan, 25, at Kim Kardashian’s celebrity-filled wedding made the event a renewed occasion for LiLo-bashing by critics of the out-of-control young actress, who wore a white gown cut low in front. The Celebrity Plastic Surgery blog complained, “As per usual with Lohan, the main attractions of her whole ensemble were her … fake breasts. She always tries to deny that she’s had a breast augmentation, but it’s clear when you look at older pictures that she’s gone under the knife (by some estimates, twice). Nobody goes from a B-cup to a large D-cup in the matter of a year.” (Aug. 24, 2011)

‘Liquid facelift’ for reality TV star

Jill Zarin, 47, of the reality TV show “Real Housewives of New York City” is getting lots of publicity out of her recent facial makeover. Folks noticed a change when she appeared at the TV Land awards in early April, and she told People magazine that she had gotten a “liquid facelift” – injections of filler rather than an actual surgical procedure. The new look is noticeable in before-and-after photos, but not everyone thinks it’s an improvement. Perhaps it makes her look more masculine? (April 28, 2011)

Reality TV star wants more surgery

Reality TV personality NeNe Leakes, 43, of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and “Celebrity Apprentice” says she got a nose job, smaller breast implants, a breast lift and liposuction in April 2010, and she wants more. She planned to get more liposuction this year so she will have a “totally flat stomach,” RaderOnline reported. Her friends worry that she’s going too far. “Despite being loud and overconfident in public, NeNe has some issues regarding her self-image. She has always wanted to be famous, and now that she is, those insecurities have been heightened for her to look perfect,” the website reported. (May 31, 2011)
